Region 6 Events

Unfortunately, attendance at our IPA evens has consistently the past decade. So much so that the Regional Committee has decided to cancel the annual picnic. For the few who show, the cost is just too high. Especially in view of the fact that our former fund raiser dried up a few years ago and we really need to watch our expenditures.

We would like to hear from our members if you have any suggestions for events we can hold that might interest the members. While the reasons for non-participation are many, there might be some ideas out there that we have not thought of yet.

We are looking for IPA members in the region that would like to serve as a Departmental Representative for visitors to the area. As a Representative for your department, you would help coordinate IPA visitors who are looking to go on a ride-along, meet with members of your department to exchange information on policing techniques, or arrange for interaction with specialized units, such as aero, SWAT, etc. Contact Larry if you are interested in serving as this contact between your agency and our IPA visitors.
